Longer Vacations Wanted
So after traveling to Florida a couple of weeks ago I realized it's pretty much impossible to get away from it all unless you take off like 5 days or more. If you ever fly from coast to coast it takes a whole day in itself just to get out there. On that note, new found respect for working people (Dennis comes to mind) and pro athletes who often have to do such things. Having said that, I still would like to travel more and curious if our family is ever going to do another big trip like our Hawaii one? Anyone interested? That was pretty fun minus the food and having to get back to the ship on time deal.

stace, totally dig the baby picture. i put the cursor on it and clicked, woah that size blew up, his head became life size!
something happened to me about a week ago, stranger than fiction. i was laid up in the house about 8 yrs ago, kind of like stace is now (my back). i worked as little as possible for about a year, so i was writing non-stop, and self-published a short story, then forgot all about it.
recently i get an e-mail from a company called 'createspace' telling me i have a new account set up to keep track of my book sales! they bought over this company i had used for publishing. they said my story is available on amazon.com.
but here's the kicker-i check my account. there's been absolutely no activity on it for like 8 years, but now, in December i somehow sold 2 books, and made a whopping 4 bucks! somehow, someone found out about me. i'm gonna have like an underground cult following!
ya, it's not a big deal, you can simply refer to me on this webiste as, "funkyfresh", or as, "the author", ya i'm okay with that, i mean if you want me to acknowledge you...

Jumping on the Bandwagon
Well I guess it wouldn't hurt for me to update the family either. Mostly because I know Stacie needs something to do while she's at home all day...
I'm living it up at 929 Union St still. I have to agree with Stacie, this is a pretty amazing place to live. I walk to work in the Financial District everyday and pass by all the Columbus St bums and characters. I'm taking good care of the place in case any of the little ones want to take over someday! I'm still working as a technical recruiter and trying to help people jobs. Luckily for all, the market is picking up so things are getting better.
For all the inquiring minds (namely Stacie and company) I am still dating my boyfriend Pat who is from LA. He will be introduced to the lion's den (as I call it) sometime soon, I'm sure.
I'll try and update when new or interesting things happen in my life...which I'm hoping means I'll be updating a lot more often!
xoxo

Baby Lee #2

Yay today was my last ultrasound appointment and things are looking good. Three more weeks and I'm in the clear! Woot woot. I would like to say thank you to Darrick and Jen for starting to get on board with blogging. Darrick is right we need to somehow alert family members of what's going on. Hmmm.. Does anyone know how to work blogspot to where alerts go out to followers???

hello from chicago!
My 2010 new year's resolution is to do a better job staying in touch with family and friends! With that said, I am going to try to blog more often. :) So.... What to blog about...
I had a great time back in Cali for the holidays. It went by WAY too fast! I didn't nearly get to spend as much time catching up with family as I wanted to. Now I'm back in Chicago enjoying the snow and cold cold weather. If some of you didn't know, I finished grad school in December!!! :D So now I'm on the job hunt looking for a clinical fellowship so I can get my license. And for all of you that don't remember what I was studying... I got my masters in speech-language pathology (aka speech therapy). I'm looking for something in a medical/clinical/hospital setting hopefully in the Chicagoland area, but have also applied to some positions in the Bay Area. I just applied to CPCM in SF, so wish me luck! I think that's all for now... I'll keep you posted as the job hunt continues!
Miss you all!

Newsflash
Bad news first since I'm an optimist...The gf and I split on the eve of New Year's eve. =\ Pardon the false alarm with all the excitement and wanting you guys to meet her. At the time she seemed like a good catch. =P I'm ok and it was a friendly breakup with neither of us saying anything we would regret. I know I know, more fish in the sea etc etc. =) So what have I been doing since? (see below (no I don't sing))

stace, bry, how do people blog, i mean really! there's gotta be a better way to know when you all are on besides me randomly checking, especially when this is the only blog i do only because stacie said told me so, so it's hard to remember.
there's gotta be a way to connect this to my hotmail or g-mail or something, 'cause i didn't know if i missed any current stuff.
by the way, don't feel like it's not working stace, here's what's really happenin': nobody's talkin' 'cause their life is really shady and they can't be talkin' about their secrect sh--.
but don't worry, i'd be talkin' to you and bry all the time if i was at home sideways too! ha! just kiddin'.

Hi family. I hope everyone is having a wonderful new year! Christmas went by so fast. I hope everyone got what they wanted and more. My new years resolution is to get more people to write on this damn blog other than me and Brian.
